„Eagle’s Nest“ (Kehlsteinhaus), Berchtesgaden
The Kehlsteinhaus on the summit of Obersalzberg mountain was a birthday present to Adolf Hitler in 1938. Buildings works took only 2 years. The luxurious lodge was in use by the national socialist elite for receptions of high ranking visitors. After World War II the place became preserved as an architectural document of the Nazi era. The victorious allied forces called it “Eagle’s Nest”.
